Big thank to you for getting to this page, hopefully in the future you will see all my work thoughts I went through, any experiences related to self organization, technologies, and tools I had to use to achieve my daily activities at home and work.

By the way, this is my first post that was fully done using free (as in freedom) open source software, starting from the server running GNU Linux, with personal file management system using Nextcloud, and running on top of Apache web server, using WordPress as content management system, and from my phone which is running a fully AOSP (Android Open Source Project) version of Android with only open source software, and my job here to deliver my experience completely hoping to be a good contribution to the free internet.

    1. Hi there,

I use the theme Libre 2 by Automattic on the community edition of WordPress CMS (WordPress.org) and hosted on DigitalOcean on a Linux server.

Usually you need to study what are the requirements for your website or blog, and really recommended if you hire a web designer / developer to assist you choosing the right system.

There is many alternative content management systems available, but also you need to choose the hosting provider wisely, for example if you go with WordPress.com you will get really great 5 stars support and automatic updates, but maybe with a hosted version of WordPress in GoDaddy it will be not as fast updated and mitigated as WordPress.com.

In general you should do security hardening to your website, one of the important steps is always keeping your website software up to date so it will mitigate the security vulnerabilities, this again goes through choosing a good hosting provider and hiring a company to be responsible if the website they build is done in a secure way.

Top hosting providers for WordPress I recommend are WordPress.com, GoDaddy.com and BlueHost.com, if you want to build your own server (advanced) then DigitalOcean is really affordable and have a great pricing and customer support.

I hope this answers your inquiry.
